About The Job

‍

At PostCo, we take great pride in our software, and we want people who share the same passion to build great software. You will be a part of our team of software engineers and work on the software suite behind one of the largest B2B return software in the world.

‍

We look for people who can gush to us about their favourite software, perhaps even with a twinkle in their eye. We believe that the product of good software engineering is the software, not the code.

As an intern, you will be given a rotation through our 2 disciplines of software engineering - back end development and front end development. The learning curve may be steep - as you may have to adapt to unfamiliar technologies, and keep adapting as you go through the rotations. We will be with you every step of the way. And we believe that by the end, you will have gained a better understanding on the exciting world of software engineering.

• Designing and implementing backend services, focused on reliability, ease of adoption, and future extensibility
• Collaborating with engineers across the organization to identify common pain points and opportunities for leverage.
• Maintain and operate mission-critical production services, meeting service level objectives

Job Requirements

‍

• Graduate / student in Computer Science or related technical field; or
• Self-taught developers who are able to prove his / her abilities through group or personal projects.
• Enjoy being a generalist working across the entire stack: frontend, backend, and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users.
• Comfortable programming in any programming language and willing to learn our stack - Ruby on Rails and React.
• Take pride in writing clean and maintainable code.
• Willing to attempt seemingly impossible problems and view it as a learning opportunity.
• Continuous learner and eager to share knowledge with the team.
• Open minded and opinionated - able to voice out and take opinions in polite and objective manner.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
